A generous supporter is MATCHING donations, up to $20,000 Neo's condition baffled vets. [View this email in your browser]( Dear Friend, We have some exciting news! A generous supporter is MATCHING DONATIONS up to $20,000! That means if you donate now, you'll double your impact for homeless pets like Neo, pictured above, who arrived at a Philadelphia shelter with a condition unlike anything staffers had ever seen. New Jersey-based J & Co Dog Rescue pulled Neo from the shelter and rushed him to the veterinary hospital, where doctors brought all the interns in to see him because his case was so unusual. Neo underwent a battery of tests to determine the cause of his swollen limbs and skin infections. Despite his obvious discomfort, he was "super sweet with his medical team and giving many kisses," the rescue said. Finally, he was diagnosed with a severe staph infection, lymphedema, and, to top it off, pneumonia. He was put on antibiotics and began his recovery in a loving foster home. Neo is not yet available for adoption, but "he has an amazing foster mom who manages his daily care," which includes oral and topical medication and baths, says J and Co founder Lorie Sickel. A Petfinder Foundation grant helped to offset Neo's extensive vet bills. "Neo is a very happy boy and enjoys lying in the sun and going for walks," says Sickel. "Thank you for awarding us with this grant to help with his medical expenses!"
