Make your 2023 tax-deductible donation now! Make your tax-deductible gift today [View this email in your browser]( Dear Friend, There's still time to make your tax-deductible donation for 2023! Your gift will help pets like Bubbly Buttertart, whose personality is as unique and quirky as his name. All Fur One Pet Rescue & Adoptions in New Jersey received a Petfinder Foundation grant to reduce adoption fees, and applied it to pets who had been waiting more than six months for forever homes. That included Bubbly, a 4-year-old, 71-lb. Lab mix who arrived at the rescue in November 2022. "After being placed in and quickly returned by two different foster homes, he remained in a kennel in our facility until a third foster home took him on Feb. 22, 2023," treasurer Cori Kindred says. "Bubbly instantly became a rock star at this home. He was 'trained' by his 9-year-old human sibling. They had an amazing bond. Bubbly was a gentle giant with his sister." "Bubbly is also somewhat of a kleptomaniac and likes to remove loaves of bread from the kitchen and hide them around the house," Kindred says. "His favorite hiding spot is between couch cushions. He never eats the bread, nor does he tear the plastic packaging." In July, Bubbly went into a foster-to-adopt home, but was returned after two days. Although the family had been shown many videos of Bubbly's bread-scapades, they were not amused when he hid a loaf in a plant. Bubbly went back to his foster family, who adored him and truly wanted to adopt him. But they were in the process of moving and their budget was tight. When All Fur One told them Bubbly's adoption fee was waived thanks to our grant, they adopted him immediately. "The fosters, now adopters, were thrilled to make Bubbly a permanent member of the family," Kindred says. The Petfinder Foundation helps Bubbly and thousands of other pets find homes that appreciate them just as they are. [Your gift will help more pets like Bubbly in 2024.]( From all of us at the Petfinder Foundation, thank you for all that you do to help homeless pets. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
