Ready for a new month!? Hi {NAME}! August. So many feelings with this new month. It's the last month of freedom before school begins...before summer ends...before fall begins. It is my sister's bday month. It's the transition from hot to cold...from light to dark. When I think of August, I think of how scared I used to be of starting school again. But looking back now, young Cassey didn't have anything to worry about. The problems I cried over in school are nothing compared to what I deal with now! But I understand that it is all proportional to our development in life. So if you're feeling a little sad as you head into the fall, shake it off because this time of year really is a wonderful time to open your mind, learn, and make life-long friends! Feeling meh? Here's how to get out of your rut! Being lazy. It's normal. It's natural. Have a rest day when your body needs it. But when it turns into a mental state of constant stagnation - YOU NEED TO GET UP! I know it can be hard to get moving when you REALLY don't feel like it, but I'm going to share with you some tricks to get the ball rollin'. Just this weekend I was TRYING to have a civil conversation about diets at a family party and I got so irked I just had to straight up smile, end the convo, and walk away. I don't understand why people get so worked up about food that they cannot open up their ears or their minds to hear another opinion. And the crazy thing is...diet fads and even nutrition "facts" we hear change almost every year.
