The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice {NAME}, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr

The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice {NAME}, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. believed a non-violent movement could pave the way for change, and he was right. He made sure he was causing Good Trouble to fight for what he believed in, and he was a catalyst for history-making change across the country. In one of my favorite Dr. King quotes, he says: “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” This quote reminds me every day that we are the ones who have the power to bend the arc. And only by working together can we help continue to bend it towards justice. And as we all know, when we work together, we all win. My office has proven this time and time again as we’ve worked persistently to highlight the equity gap right here on Long Island. A gap, that when closed, will strengthen our economy by $24 billion. But we can’t close this gap alone. It was with perseverance and a commitment to the future that Dr. King was able to work towards making America a more equal place. We need to continue to ensure that everyone has equal access to what they need. So, when we say equity in our economy, we mean it. It’s our responsibility to always be fighting for a better tomorrow, to ensure that nobody is forgotten or left behind. So today, we celebrate the life and legacy of a man who gave everything to make our country and the world a better place. Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day! -- Jack P.S. I also wanted to let you know that thanks to you, we reached our filing deadline goal last week–onwards and upwards from here! [P.P.S. I recorded a video with more of my thoughts on today's importance, you can watch it below.]( [WATCH THE VIDEO]( Paid for by Jack Schnirman for Nassau This message was sent to: [{EMAIL}](#) | You can unsubscribe by [clicking here.](
