Thanks to your constant support, we’ve managed to accomplish so much over the past three years. Here are the top lines: [ [Check out the whole Three Years in Review report!]( This year brought challenges that we couldn’t have predicted. COVID-19 changed the fiscal outlook across the country and aggravated existing equity gaps. That’s why we sought to reinvigorate support for our local business owners with a focus on minority-owned businesses in particular, to keep our economy strong while also diversifying the County’s potential vendors. Our team addressed gaps in childcare funding, Black wealth inequality, our Hispanic community, and so much more. This is just the tip of the iceberg -- [you can read all of the reports we released in 2020 here, on the Open Nassau Transparency Hub!]( [LEARN MORE]( These results, along with many others, stem from the establishment of four critical priorities for the Comptroller's Office that we laid out on our first day in office: - Opening and Modernizing Nassau County Finances - Conducting Smart Audits - Cleaning up and Reforming County Contracting - Eliminating Waste, Fraud, Abuse, and Inefficiency Through the "Report It, Reform It" Program. In 2021 we’ll be expanding on this critical work, so stay tuned!
