[ Hey {NAME}, Now that 2020 is officially over and 2021 is underway, I have a couple of things to talk to you about. - 2021 is the year of the Nassau County Comptroller election -- which means that in a few short months, voters will be headed back to the polls for my election.
- There’s still a lot of work to do here in Nassau County, and a lot that we’ve already accomplished together. We’ve pushed for a fiscally responsible budget (that doesn’t raise taxes or cut services), advocated for State & Local Aid for our first responders by presenting our Analysis of COVID-19 on Sales Tax Revenue and County Finances, completed numerous audits, found millions of taxpayer dollars in savings and inefficiencies, and we’ve rolled out numerous policy reports highlighting how we can make it easier to make ends meet for Long Island families.
- The first public filing deadline of my election is coming up on Monday, January 11th at midnight, and it’s critical we reach our goal. This public filing deadline will be the first time that the media, the political pundits, and any potential opponents will be able to assess our strength.
