Everywhere I turn, there are 50+ year old adults saying “hawk tuah” and giving a loud obnoxious guttural laugh at themselves - I’m placing my bets now that it’s going to be Merriam-Webster’s word of the year 2024. When that happens, I will choose to stand in front of a train and remain there. Knowing my luck, “hawk tuah” will be the sound of my internal organs stretching across the railroad tracks, and in turn, the last thing I remember. I wish I could volunteer to be in a clinical coma until I can wake up to something other than Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and a host of insufferable Jimmies stop saying it to roars of laughter.
