Like you, I have seen it every year for a long time. In fact, 2020 marks my 22nd year in the fitness industry. Personally I am not one for New Year’s resolutions. I do believe the end of the year and start of another is a great time for reflection, introspection and time to plan for a better future, but I also believe any time is a great time for doing self-reflection and the like. It doesn’t have to be at the beginning of the year. If we look at most resolutions they revolve around getting healthier or fitter, earning more money, having a better social life, better relationships and so on. In order to have any of these things we have to change our behavior; and in order to do that, we inevitably have to make an internal shift. [And, don't forget all the other good stuff...]( [7 Fitness Hacks for 2020]( No better a source than Sandi Duncan, managing editor of the Farmers' Almanac, has said that the new decade begins on January 1, 2021. Most people think it's January 1, 2020. I'm not going to weigh in here with a decision. I will just say that my suggestions for the new decade, can either start in 2020 or they can be prepped in 2020 for full-blown implementation in 2021. Everyone is happy. Everyone wins. The more important thing is the need to address the last ten years of fitness hype and drama, move on the next ten years, and create a better world for everyone.
