On the Path... [View in Web Browser]( [CLICK HERE to Book your FREE 15-minute coaching call with Dylan]( Hi {NAME}, Sunday morning I set out to create this newsletter and went downstairs to my garage gym where I often do my best writing. But nothing came through. So I sat down to meditate but was entirely unable to concentrate. So I stood up and made en effort to move through a Qi Gong form, but just couldn't muster the focus for it. What gives? Exercise and meditation has always been how I find my peace, but when I looked around I realized that something ugly was closing in on me, begging for my attention. Due to the fall and the holidays, my garage and meditation space had become cluttered, disorganized, and outright dirty. My tools were scattered about from a dozen home improvement projects. My exercise equipment was strewn about the garage. There were leaves, dust, dirt, and debris in every corner. It felt stuffy, filthy, and claustrophobic. A mess. I was planning on spending the morning reflecting, reconnecting, reviewing, and reframing, but the condition of my basement garage just wouldn't allow it. So I shifted gears and reprioritized to do something about it. I took the time to clean it all up, reorganizing everything. I swept the floors and dusted the cabinets. I took out the trash. Last night I went down there to practice Qi Gong and everything flowed. I was clear, focused, and intentional. No distractions, just pure power. [Overcome Self-Sabotage 2023]( When you clear out the contents of your basement and garage, you free up energy and attention which can then be applied to the things which move life forward and make life better. It's a great metaphor for polishing up your subconscious mind so that you can actually experience the life you seek. During self-sabotage coaching I often refer to the subconscious mind as a supercomputer living in the basement of your house, which represents your mind. Most of what happens downstairs goes unnoticed and unattended to. Crap just collects down there. Things that were useful to you at one point just sit there in the dark until they interfere with your ability to make progress. The programs (and viruses) running on that supercomputer are your default behavioral programs. They are the fallback patterns that you operate on when your conscious mind has been taken offline by fight or flight mode, stress, fear, anxiety, and chemical disruption. It's a fitting metaphor to look at confronting self-sabotage as a deep dive into the basement of your mind to clean it up and make it sparkly again, and when this part of your mind is clean, clear, sober, and focused, amazing things happen in your relationships, your finances, and your life. Coming up in a few weeks I'm hosting a small group to go on a similar journey with me. It's called [Overcome Self-Sabotage](, and we begin by deepening your understanding of just how influential the subconscious mind is, and how much power it has to pull you backward (or forward) in life when the stressors and madness of the 'real' world drive you to shut down and revert to autopilot. Self-sabotage sucks because you know there is only one person who can do anything about it. You know it's YOUR responsibility. No one else is going to clean your garage. It's your job. There are a couple of spots left for this event, and you'll get a chance to work with me personally to unpack the detrimental programs, patterns and clutter in your subconscious mind, and clean it all up. Register for that now, [HERE](, to secure your spot. If you're interested but would like to know if this is really for you, book a FREE 15-minute call with me, [HERE](. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
