The bottom of this totem pole also tells the story of how a family of beaver taught a human family the importance of treating all creatures – human and animal – with respect. By Sue Pisaturo, Owner of [Small World Vacations]( It’s time to plan your Walt Disney World Vacation! Disney has announced that [Happily Ever After]( a new nighttime spectacular will debut on May 12, 2017 in the Magic Kingdom. In Disney’s Animal Kingdom, [Rivers of Light]( will premiere on February 17 and [Pandora – The World of AVATAR]( will open on May 27. Don’t miss these out-of-this-world experiences! If you’re like most people, you have a budget set for how much money you’ll spend on your Disney Vacation including hotel, theme park passes, food, souvenirs and transportation from home. Have you ever thought about your budget of time? It costs the average family of four approximately $40 – $50 per hour to go to Walt Disney World whether they are touring the parks, meeting characters, eating, swimming or sleeping. How do you want to spend your allotment of time in Walt Disney World? Are there ways to maximize your time having fun, instead of spending it standing in line for a ride or guarding a spot for the parade or fireworks? The agents at [Small World Vacations]( can help you save, time, headaches and money. They are Authorized Disney Vacation Planners with expert knowledge and decades of experience. There is no charge for our magical services. We love what we do and it shows! Small World Vacations has created two comprehensive Walt Disney World planning pages that will help you use your time wisely before you leave home: [2017 Walt Disney World Timeline Planner]( [2017 Walt Disney World Vacation Planning Resources]( We recommend that you register for a [mydisneyexperience.com]( account as soon as you book a Walt Disney World Vacation. You’ll need this account to set up [FastPasses]( Advanced Dining Reservations and ordering Magic Bands before you leave home. This pre-planning is essential and helps you avoid wasting time during your vacation. [Small World Vacations’ agents]( are your best Disney Vacation Planning Resource. Below are some strategies that our agents share about saving time that won’t cost you a penny: From Small World Vacations’ Agent Beth: Eat meals during non-peak times of the day. We would eat something light like a banana or granola bar for breakfast and get to the park right at opening while the lines are short. After touring for a few hours, we’d have early lunch and then go back to the resort for a rest or a swim. One other tip – lines for attractions are typically shorter during parades/fireworks. From Small World Vacations’ Agent Carly: Be prepared on your mobile phone. Get the mydisneyexperience Phone App as well as the Touringplans App called [“Lines.”]( You can check current wait times for rides and attractions. This info helps you decide where to go next. From Small World Vacations’ Agent Shannon: Make advanced dining reservations for breakfast before the park opens. This works great at Be Our Guest, a Quick Service location in the Magic Kingdom. You can eat while the park is empty and then position yourself for some great photos or get in line for your favorite ride before the crowds descend. Another time saver is to have one person in your party take all your bags and/or stroller through the bag check. This way, everyone else can go through the no bag line. This is a great strategy if you plan to grab quick service for breakfast upon entering the park. Your family members with no bags can get in line at a Quick Service location and order for the “lucky” person who went through security. From Small World Vacations’ Agent Cheryl: Get to the theme parks 30 minutes before park opening. This allows you to get in as soon as the rope drops and ride the more popular attractions before it gets too busy. We schedule our FastPasses for other popular rides and attractions later in the day. From Small World Vacations Agent Angela: If you are NOT an early riser, avoid the park with Extra Magic morning hours. For Disney Resort Guests – if you stay up late, it is worth it to go to the theme park with Extra Magic evening hours. You might need a hopper pass to take full advantage of this resort benefit. If your pocketbook allows, here is a list of some premium Disney experiences that cost extra money, but can save you time in the parks: Disney VIP Tours – Theme Park Admission not included - [Disney VIP Tours – Private]( ($400 – $600 per hour for up to 10 guests for a 7 hour minimum) - An Ultimate Day at Epcot Food and Wine (TBA for 2017) - [Disney VIP Tours – Classic]( ($199 per person) - Ultimate Day of Thrills ($299 per person) Premium Early Morning or Evening After Hours Events at the Magic Kingdom - [Disney Early Morning Magic with breakfast]( – Magic Kingdom – Fantasyland ($69 Adult, $59 Child, age 3-9) - [Disney After Hours]( – Magic Kingdom ($119 per person.
