A FAIRly good way to engage with voters.

Hi {NAME}, I hope you enjoyed the mother's day weekend. This was the second weekend in a row I spent engaging with voters in the district at the fair. I think it's a great place to meet voters: big crowds, a community-centered atmosphere, and everyone's looking for a little bit of something different. Politics fits the bill! Last weekend, I was at the Tehama District Fair from Thursday through Sunday. With the help of the Tehama Country Democrats, we handed out over 1,000 pamphlets and had a large number of really good conversations. People were excited to see a candidate in the flesh "shaking hands and kissing babies." I hope this enthusiasm converts into a few votes in the primary. Tehama is a deep red county, but even (most) Republicans thanked me for getting out, and everyone thanked me for my military service. [Weeekend Steiner]( This weekend I attended the Siskiyou County Mother's Day Fair. I also stopped by the NorCal Chainsaw Carving Championship and the Siskiyou Golden Livestock Jackpot Show. I wasn't able to compete with a chainsaw carving competition, but I connected with lots of voters, and I commend the participants who braved the snowy weather. I want to thank you for all of your support so far. Fairs are a great (and cheap) way to meet voters, but I still need to reach out through mail, billboards, radio, digital, and TV advertising.
