Hunger, low energy, and crankiness often boil down to this one thing thats surprisingly easy to fix. If you are having trouble viewing this email, [click here.]( [Dr. Steven Gundry | Founder, Gundry MD]( {NAME}, Have you ever had one of those days where your eyelids feel heavy… Or you eat a big meal and still feel hungry… Or you just can’t get out of a “funk”, even when nothing’s wrong? You might load up on caffeine to stay awake, snack more throughout the day, or cancel plans because you’re not in the mood. If you can relate, you’re in good company! A lot of my patients have ‘slow days’ when they feel like this. And the frustrating part is — the solution is usually pretty simple. Because excessive hunger, sleepiness, and moodiness often boil down to ONE simple thing: WATER. Yep. You might not be famished, tired, or cranky at all — you could simply be parched. So today, I want to share with you a super quick trick to find out if all you really need… Is a tall glass of H20. It’s something I call: “The Pinch Trick.” Best of all — it only takes 3 seconds and all you need is your thumb and pointer finger.  1. Take your dominant hand and pinch the skin on top of your other hand, lifting it slightly. 2. Hold it for three seconds. 3. Let go, paying close attention to how quickly your skin goes back into place. If your skin takes more than a second to return to its normal shape, the chances are you’re probably dehydrated. How does it work? Well, your skin has what’s known as “turgor” — which is just a fancy word for elasticity. And when you’re hydrated, your skin is more flexible and bounces back quickly. But when you’re not, it will start to “tent”... Meaning it’ll take LONGER to return to its normal shape. (A sure sign that your body is parched.) So the next time you’re not feeling your absolute best — go ahead and give yourself a quick pinch. And if needed, just drink a big ol’ glass of water. Because a hydrated body… is a healthy, happy one. Looking out for you, Steven Gundry, MD [Steven Gundry, MD]( P.S. I know plain water isn’t the most exciting beverage. But luckily, there’s an easy fix. If you want to “dress it up” a little… simply add some fresh fruit or herbs to kick the taste up a notch… And you won’t realize you’re drinking water! Some of my favorite combos: - Lemon and mint 👍  - Blueberries, and basil 👌  - Grapefruit and rosemary 🤌 My wife Penny and I add the ingredients to a big pitcher, then stick it in the fridge before drinking. (It’s so, so refreshing — especially this time of year.) And don’t forget my favorite, which I pioneered years ago: The delicious “soda substitute” of sparkling water mixed together with 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar. That’s always a winner! P.P.S. By the way, if you have any ‘water infusions’ you know and love, hit “reply” and let me know. As you know, I love trying new recipes!   This email was sent to {EMAIL} by newsletter@gundrymd.com [Edit Profile]( | [Manage Subscriptions]( | [VIP Discounts]( | [Join Text Club]( 9465 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 300 Beverly Hills, California, 90212  [Report Spam](  These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
