And I guess that's been true for me at times... but over the past few years, it's been the complete opposite.  At 85, I'm busier than I've ever been!  But that's why I always love this time of year. Summer and early fall goes so fast... but once this California air starts crisping up (at least at night), and holiday movies start playing on TV, it's like my "slow down" reflex kicks in automatically.  It's a lot easier to kick back, relax with a couple [Cruise Chews](, or maybe something a little stronger if the mood strikes, and enjoy the little things... like sipping on a cup of hot cocoa or one of the many pumpkin flavored drinks out there these days.  Speaking of pumpkin drinks, have you ever wondered why they're so dang popular?  I mean, it seems like there's a pumpkin spice version of everything now!  Donuts, lattes, candles, even [pumpkin spiced pot](! (I'm usually pretty adventurous, but I'm gonna go ahead and skip that one...)  Never thought I'd see that day, but hey, here we are!  Well, I was noodling on the google the other day (man... that came out dirtier sounding than I meant it, but I'm leaving it in.)  Anyway, I ended up on an article about pumpkin spice, and I think there might be another "spicy" reason so many of the suits at these big companies are leaning so heavy into it.  Apparently, when pumpkin spice teams up with a touch of lavender, it works like... an aphrodisiac! A secret love potion hidden in plain sight?  Makes me wonder if that’s why I feel so warm and fuzzy when Shelby’s making her famous pumpkin bread.  So, the next time you see someone going crazy over pumpkin spice, remember – there might just be some magic in the mix...  What's your take?
