Regardless of what your mail or your phone looks like today, hereâs a little virtual Valentine from me to you. Because, let's face it, everyone deserves a bit of love on Valentine's Day. Iâve gotta admit, in years gone by, I've occasionally been a bit of a scrooge about aspects of Valentineâs (I mean really, who decided to schedule the holiday all about warmth and love smack dab in the middle of winter, man?) But, the truth? Iâve really turned into a sucker for all of it. Roses, chocolates, sending out cards to my grandkids and even the great-grandkids (yeah, thereâs a few of those now) â I'm all in, man. Shelby's been gearing up for the annual tradition of me suddenly remembering I need to do something romantic for Valentine's Day a few days before, and scrambling to make it look like I had it planned all along. She calls it predictable; I just call it spontaneous, man! So anyway, I hope you have a wonderful day however you're spending it. And hey, I know for some of you cousins out there, Valentine's Day can be a tough time. Just remember, Valentineâs Day is really just an excuse to remind the good folks in your life (yeah, that includes yourself too) how much you care about them.
