Dude! We. Are. Home! After eight months of travel, we just moved back into our home in Dana Point, California. We plan to be here through the holidays (and then we’ll see!). [image](=) While we loved our time traveling around the world, there is something so yummy about being home in your own bed and hearing those crashing waves. You may have noticed there was no Podcast today?! 🤷 You’re right. I had a few days under the weather, so it will come out on Friday night or Saturday. Be sure to hit the notification bell so you don’t miss it. [image](=) For those of you who’ve been following the Dr. Mowlavi case(s) for the past two years, you know it’s been a life-altering ordeal that included nearly 80 victims, threats, attorneys, lawsuits, bankruptcy, press, the CA Medical Board, his suspension and probation, and so much more. (If you’re lost, [get caught up here]()). Setting aside the emotional trauma, so many of his former patients were left disfigured for life, some of whom will require a lifetime of care. In January of this year, the Laguna Beach PD raided his home and office launching a criminal investigation which is still pending. [image]( Despite his brief suspension, I was recently informed that Mowlavi is still actively taking new patients. Oh, and in the State of California, he’s not required to disclose his previous suspension or mounting legal challenges to potential new clients. In spite of this, I’m happy to report that O.C. District Attorney Todd Spizer is taking this seriously. He recently filed a lengthy civil case against him to protect the public and seeks millions in damages. There are civil cases, criminal investigations, bankruptcy proceedings, and of course, his defamation case against me. It’s a lot. Recently, I was asked to record a victim impact statement on video. I lost it. That’s when it hit me - in my busyness to lead the charge, I had not given myself the space to process ALL OF IT truly. If you can handle some ugly crying, I did a long-overdue lifer update this week. I addressed why I have been doing fewer personal podcasts and shared my raw emotions about these cases and how it triggered some personal stuff between myself and Bret. Don’t worry. It’s not all weepy, I promise... [Be sure to watch](). But as they say, the only way through it is through it. The truth is bad things happen in life. It’s inevitable. It’s what you do with it, who you lean on, and if you’re willing to feel it in order to grow that matters most when you’re in the darkness. I pray that if you’re going through something of your own right now that you have a good support system and choose to open up. Pick a day to cry your lashes off. Hug a loved one. Feel the feelings and know that you’ll be okay. Only then can you truly move through the pain. Love you, mean it, Chalene P.S. BTW- if you don’t get a chance to listen to the Chalene Show from Wednesday, I announced in it that we are now going to release a Patreon episode every week at the $5 level. That’s twice the content for the same price! I will still be doing some personal content on the regular podcast, but Patreon is where you get my uber personal stuff I can’t put on the public show. Patreon has a cool promo right now that allows you to join [risk-free for seven days](=)! This offer expires soon, so hurry - I have a new episode coming out on Saturday!! The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
