Brady was represented by two incredible people who have turned their personal tragedies into action. Team ENOUGH Executive Council Member Aalayah Eastmond testified about her experience at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School a year ago. Brady board member and shooting gunshot wound survivor Dr. Joe Sakran testified about the public health crisis of gun violence in our country — and how Congressional action can help bring an end to this epidemic. Brady represented survivors who sued the gun dealer that sold the killer his AR-15 assault rifle and 30 round magazines. The TX district judge ruled in favor of Brady, and the case will move forward. [Learn more about the lawsuit](. --------------------------------------------------------------- We’re a Step Closer to Passing HR8 and Closing the Loopholes in Background Checks Last week, Brady hosted a diverse group of partners committed to working together to pass HR8 and S42, with more than 25 representatives from groups spanning law enforcement, unions, teaching, faith, social work, government, and child advocacy sectors. Brady also sent a letter in support of HR8/S42 to every member of Congress prior to Wednesday’s HR8 hearing, with over 30 national groups signing on.
