Tragedy in New Zealand
Friday morning, Americans awoke to news of a tragedy aboard. At least 49 people were shot and murdered in a planned massacre at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, with another 20 reported seriously injured. Many of the victims were immigrants and refugees fleeing countries plagued by warfare. We must stop the bloodshed, here and abroad! A Win for the Families of Victims of Sandy Hook
This week, families and survivors from Sandy Hook took a step closer to justice when the Connecticut Supreme Court allowed their lawsuit to move forward. Brady played a role in the case, which aims to hold the reckless assault weapon manufacturer accountable. We provided advice and counsel to the Sandy Hook lawyers and filed an amicus brief in support of plaintiffs. The courtâs decision also relied heavily on legal precedent set by Brady. Weâre proud of the role that Bradyâs legal team played in helping ensure that justice is served. [Read more about the ruling.](

We Need Your Messages! #WriteYourReps
Weâve partnered with March For Our Lives DC to write letters urging our senators to support S. 42, a clean bill to expand background checks to ALL gun sales. This is lifesaving legislation, and we need our senators to act. A coalition of students will visit the U.S. Capitol on March 26 to deliver the letters in person â so NO senator can ignore us. We need letters from constituents across the country to make this happen. Not able to mail a handwritten letter by March 18? [Send an electronic message now!](

NEW TOOLKIT: How to Organize Against Dangerous Efforts to Arm Teachers
Team ENOUGH launched a toolkit on how students can organize against outrageous plans to bring guns into the classroom. The toolkit was created by members of Team ENOUGH Tampa, who recently had success in organizing with its local school board. Also this week, we joined Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Rep. Rosa Delauro (CT-03), and Rep. Jahana Hayes (CT-05) for the [introduction]( of legislation to ensure that the U.S. Department of Education canât allow federal funds to be used to arm teachers. Weâll do everything we can to ensure students are safe. [Use our new toolkit to advocate for school safety with your local school board!](

Inspiring Interview with Team ENOUGH Leaders Tatiana and Eden
Team ENOUGH leaders Tatiana Washington and Eden Hebron spoke alongside the U.S. Surgeon General about the need to address our countryâs gun violence epidemic as a public health issue. Both students have been directly impacted by gun violence: Eden is a survivor of the school shooting in Parkland, FL, and Tatiana lost her aunt to gun violence.
