Lifesaving gun laws up for a vote on the House Floor. Please contact your representative today. Dear

Lifesaving gun laws up for a vote on the House Floor. Please contact your representative today. [Brady United Against Gun Violence]( Dear {NAME}, This week, the House of Representatives is set to vote on TWO major bills to update and strengthen Brady Background Checks. This is the BIGGEST action Congress has taken to end gun violence in DECADES. We’re counting down the hours until a floor vote. We need your help to keep pressure on Congress and encourage them to vote YES on H.R. 8 and H.R. 1112. It’s time to flood the phone lines — - Text HR8 to 877-877 to call your representative and urge them to vote YES on H.R. 8. This lifesaving, bipartisan bill would expand Brady background checks to cover ALL gun sales. - Text “Charleston” to 877-877 to call your representative and urge them to vote YES on H.R. 1112. This crucial bill addresses the dangerous “Charleston Loophole” that allows gun sales to be made even before a background check has been completed. We know your calls can make the difference because we’ve made history before. The Brady Law went into effect exactly 25 years ago this week on February 28, 1994. A quarter of a century later, the Brady Law stands as our best safeguard to keep guns from dangerous hands. It’s past time for an update — and now’s our chance. It’s in our hands to end the gun violence epidemic that kills 96 people every day. Will you take a few moments to call your representative? Thank you in advance for taking the time to advocate for lifesaving gun laws.
