/O9c7DfXAIoROLXPgzomD-i-diusYwwufdkykQvIKqR8= {NAME}, Last week, Congress passed a $2 trillion stimulus package to address the COVID-19 pandemic. The bill includes approximately: - $1,200 in direct relief to every American who earns under $75,000 a year, and more for families with children; - $367 billion in assistance to small businesses; - $150 billion to state and local agencies working to mitigate the spread of the virus; - $100 billion to hospitals hit hard by the virus; - $30 billion in emergency education funding to public schools; - $25 billion to SNAP and other food assistance programs; - $24 billion in relief to farmers and ranchers; - $200 million to boost telehealth services; - 4 months of pay for workers laid off because of COVID-19; and - Tax credits for restaurants, retailers, distillers, and self-employed Americans. {NAME}, this bill was the direct result of Democrats fighting to get relief for the American people -- not a black-check bailout for big corporations, as President Trump and National Republicans wanted. I am proud to stand with my Democratic colleagues in the House. Throughout this crisis, our focus is and will continue to be the health, safety, wages, and well-being of America’s workers and families. We will always fight for you.
