AR rep is pushing a national ban on reproductive care

{NAME} – News broke last week that Bruce Westerman, the Republican congressman from Arkansas’ 4th district, joined nearly 40 other House Republicans in calling for a national ban on Mifepristone. [A graphic featuring a headline from a local news provider in Northwest Arkansas, KNWA and Fox 24, which reads: “AR Rep. Westerman, House Republicans call on pharmacies to refuse to dispense abortion drug.”]( Let us be clear: Mifepristone is an FDA-approved medication that has been safely in use for over 20 years. It has numerous medical purposes, including the treatment of miscarriages, and banning this drug will endanger women’s lives FULL STOP.  The four Republican representatives here in Arkansas have consistently promoted false narratives and misinformation about all the important issues we face, and Westerman’s fear-mongering over a safe medication is just the latest example.  [Vortex has a plan to send Westerman and his GOP House colleagues packing and help win back the House majority.
