While no casualties have been reported, the blaze spread quickly through the bamboo-and-tarpaulin shelters at the Balukhali camp at Ukhiya, leaving 12,000 people homeless and destroying at least 35 mosques and 21 schools and training centers. International and local humanitarian organizations are working with the local government to provide food and temporary shelters to those in need. About 1 million stateless Rohingya Muslims live in the refugee camp after fleeing violence in Myanmar. Belarus A court in Belarus [has sentenced Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya]( to 15 years in prison. The exiled opposition leader was charged for conspiring to overthrow the government, among other charges, in a trial in absentia. Tsikhanouskaya, who lives in Lithuania, ran against President Alexander Lukashenko in the 2020 presidential election in which Lukashenko won his sixth term in office. The election was widely considered rigged and its results triggered the largest protests in the history of the country. Pakistan Pakistan's Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) [has imposed a ban]( on airing recorded and live speeches and news conferences by Imran Khan, accusing the former prime minister of promoting hate speech and attacking government institutions. The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan condemned the regulator’s decision.
