Officials from the Taliban-led government said that at least three assailants were killed by security forces. Witnesses reported that there were [multiple blasts]( and several bursts of gunfire. At least 21 people were taken to a nearby hospital run by an Italian nonprofit group. Three people were dead upon arrival. No foreigners were killed, but two were injured while trying to escape. No group has taken responsibility yet for the attack. Libya A [Libyan man is in US custody](, accused of involvement in the making of the bomb that destroyed Pan Am flight 103 — en route from London to New York — over the town of Lockerbie, Scotland, in 1988, in which 270 people died. The US had charged Abu Agila Mohammad Mas’ud Kheir al-Marimi two years ago. And the Department of Justice said he will make his initial appearance at the US District Court in Washington, DC, though no date has been set yet. Masud was reportedly [kidnapped by a militia group]( in Libya last month, creating speculation that he was set to be handed over to US authorities for trial. China Beijing plans to [stop tracking some travel]( by disabling a smart phone app that records a person's travel between Chinese cities and provinces. The decision means that it’s less likely people will be forced into quarantine for visiting COVID-19 hot spots. Another app, however, that is used to restrict the movement of those who test positive or enter an area with a recent outbreak will remain in effect.
