CompanionLink]( [] Calendar Overlay and Schedule View An Outlook had a question about the Calendar overlays: I manage 7 calendars in Outlook and I would like to have at least 6 of them overlapped in the same view, but when I select the 5th, the view changes to something different. Is there any way to view more than 4 calendars overlapped keeping them as when I overlap 2 or 3. That "something different" is the Schedule View. It's supposed to make it easier to view a large number of calendars. Yes, you can view more in the overlay mode. By default, when you select 5 or more calendars, Outlook switches to the Schedule view. You can switch back to Month or a Day view on the View menu by choosing Month or disable Schedule view in File, Options, Calendar. If you like Schedule view, you can change how many calendars are selected before switching to or from Schedule view. While we’re discussing Schedule View, a client preferred using Schedule view but thought it was “broken” because very few of his appointments were showing on it. A little investigation showed that most of his appointments were set to Free. By default, Schedule view only displays appointments that are marked Busy, Out of Office, Working elsewhere or Tentative. If you use Schedule view and want to see Free appointments, you’ll need to enable the option for ‘When in Schedule View, show free appointments’. Or set your appointments to one of the Busy states. [] Hide Shared Calendars in Outlook Mobile This calendar question came from a person who synced his mailbox with the Outlook mobile app but doesn’t want to see the shared calendars on his phone. In Outlook on the desktop, there is an option to hide but not remove Shared Calendars. Is this possible in Outlook for iOS? When I remove a Shared Calendar from Outlook on my phone, the calendar is removed as a Shared Calendar from my account. The new calendar sharing experience syncs the shared calendars with your mailbox, so they are available on mobile devices. While you can't stop the calendar from syncing (if you want to keep it in Outlook desktop), you can hide it on the phone. If you don’t want to view any of your calendars, untick them so the events aren’t visible. While viewing the calendar module. click the bars to expand the menu and then uncheck the calendars you don’t want to view. Tip: to change the calendar color, click the gear (cog) icon to the right of the calendar name. [] Find Users with Send On Behalf Permission An administrator wanted to get a list of users who has Send on Behalf permission on mailboxes. You can get a list of all mailboxes and the users assigned send on behalf permissions using this cmdlet, which creates a CSV file with the accounts assigned send on behalf permissions in a semicolon separated list. Get-Mailbox | where {$_.GrantSendOnBehalfTo -ne $null} | select Name,Alias,UserPrincipalName,PrimarySmtpAddress,@{l='SendOnBehalfOf';e={$_.GrantSendOnBehalfTo -join ";"}} | Export-CSV "D:SendOnBehalf.csv" If you just want to see who has send on behalf permissions on a specific mailbox, use this cmdlet, replacing mailbox-alias with their alias or email address. Get-Mailbox mailbox-alias | select Name,Alias,UserPrincipalName,PrimarySmtpAddress,@{l='SendOnBehalfOf';e={$_.GrantSendOnBehalfTo -join ";"}} | Export-CSV "D:SendOnBehalf.csv" To display the results in the PowerShell window, use Get-Mailbox mailbox-alias | where {$_.GrantSendOnBehalfTo -ne $null} | select Name,Alias,PrimarySmtpAddress,GrantSendOnBehalfTo []Default Browser in Outlook This user wondered why Outlook uses Internet Explorer when selecting the View in Browser option. My default browser is Edge, however. when I use the View in Browser option, the message s opened in Internet Explorer, not my default browser. How do I make Outlook use Edge? The short answer is “you can’t change it”. Sorry. The longer answer is when you use “Click here to view in browser", Outlook saves the message as a web page, using MHTML file type. This is an self-contained archive file type, unless a normal web page where embedded images are stored as separate file, the MHTML is one file. Unfortunately, Edge can’t open this file type.
