Sarah would love to see you there, meet you, and hear your story! [If you can't attend, you can still support Sarah by donating! →]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, {NAME}. Below are Sarah’s thoughts, please take time to consider her experiences, as she is sharing some very personal topics. As we kick off National Women's Month today, I can only honor all of the trailblazing women before me that fought for our reproductive and economic rights. I know first hand the challenges we as women confront each day. My story is just one of many. I have faced discrimination in the ranks, when I began the journey of starting my family that resulted in a commanding officer giving me discharge paperwork when I became pregnant. I fought back. However, my journey to have my first and second child proved harder than expected and I endured many moments of sadness and depression. I fought back. Through those experiences, I built a passion for women’s reproductive health and mental health, particularly the lack of attention to postpartum challenges and the lack of coverage for services for women whose pregnancies do not end in a live birth. I fought back, but the fight isn't over because women are greatly under-represented in elected office. Women are the glue that hold this country together, yet our US Congress is only 26% female!
