I told her I am fighting for my daughters and all the women of this nation. I am fighting to ensure her generation’s hard-won victories are protected and able to endure for the women and girls of the future. It was a fiery conversation as we traded our shared concerns. As we finished, she stated her final but most important thought: "You know, these men in these positions would do well to remember - we are their mothers..." And here I am, a mother, to two feisty daughters. We are never going back. We will fight tooth and nail for bodily autonomy and the right to control what happens to our bodies and our lives. [Will you join me and stand in solidarity with the women who fought for our rights in the 20th century, and all of our fierce daughters fighting to stay free? Join my campaign effort now!]( [Chip in $15]( [Chip in $30]( [Chip in $60]( The effort to rob pregnant people of their right to control what happens to their bodies goes back a long time, and extreme anti-choice activists have been doing everything they can to gain power. In early 2021, states started rolling back Roe v. Wade protections with legislation called "trigger laws". These laws are abortion bans designed to go into effect the moment Roe is overturned. Now, we are waiting for an unelected supreme court to determine if we will lose reproductive freedom. I am the only woman running in NY-22, and I am UNAPOLOGETICALLY pro-choice. We will win this race for Congress and ensure that everyone in this country has the right to decide their own future. [Join my campaign, because it is time for women to have an equal voice in Congress, and that starts right here in NY-22.]( As the mother of two young daughters, I am fighting to ensure they don't grow up with the same (or more) barriers that I have had to overcome. Barriers that have been fought by generations of trailblazing women before me. We are never going back. I am simply one of the many strong women fighting to protect our rights.
