I was on the phone yesterday with an 80-year-old community member and she asked me about my position on women's rights. I told her I am fighting for my daughters and all the women of this nation. I am fighting to ensure her generation’s hard-won victories are protected and able to endure for the women and girls of the future. It was a fiery conversation as we traded our shared concerns. In early 2021, states started rolling back Roe v. Wade protections with legislation called "trigger laws". These laws are abortion bans designed to go into effect the moment Roe is overturned. Now, we are waiting for an unelected supreme court to determine if we will lose reproductive freedom. I am the only woman running in NY-22, and I am UNAPOLOGETICALLY pro-choice. We will win this race for Congress and ensure that everyone in this country has the right to decide their own future.
