Extend the child tax credit

In the wake of a devastating pandemic and the following economic recession, it helped millions of families afford childcare and basic living necessities. Expanding the child tax credit for 2021 provided essential relief. But we cannot continue to view policies like this as only suited for "emergencies" — we need to re-imagine how we support families in this country and invest to lift everyone up at all times.
