April 5th, 2018 Issue #19 [View this email in your browser]( Hello from Angela Hello, friends! I know we’re a little early for a new issue of In The Glow, but I’m still freaking out over some news I just received and couldn’t wait to share with you...The Oh She Glows Recipe App has been [nominated for a Webby Award]( When I applied to The 22nd Annual Webby Awards a few months ago, it felt like such a long shot (apparently they had over 13,000 applications come in from around the world!), and I knew our app would be facing some stiff competition among big-time food organizations who have massive teams. The harsh critic in my head thought Ange, what the heck are you doing even bothering to apply? You have no chance!! But I managed to bat it away by thinking of all the positive reviews and feedback you’ve given the app since we launched on April 11, 2016. Your encouragement is what keeps me going, and with all that in mind, I hit “submit” on my first Webby Award application! Now I’m thrilled to share that our app is one of five nominees in the Mobile Sites & Apps — Food & Drink category. (Take that, self-doubt!) We’ve worked so hard to make the app as sleek, gorgeous, and easy-to-use as possible, and as always, my goal is to inspire you to cook more plant-based recipes...plus have a blast while doing it! I truly couldn’t be more grateful for your support and enthusiasm—to hear that you use and love our app in your own kitchen makes all the hard work so worth it. I’m also super proud that we’re the only app in our Webby category featuring 100% plant-based recipes—go veggies go!! *arm flex* In each category there are two awards given out. One of them is selected by a special committee from The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS). The other award is selected by you! The Webby People’s Voice Awards are chosen by online user voting, and if you enjoy our app I would be SO grateful if you [took a minute to vote for The Oh She Glows Plant-Based Recipe App](. The easiest way to vote is by logging in with Facebook/Twitter, or you can sign up for a free account on the Webby website instead. It always feels a bit awkward asking for votes, but there’s nothing I would love more than to represent the plant-based movement at The Webby Awards this year. I thank you from the bottom of my veggie-lovin’ heart! (No matter what happens, though, I already know we’re going to have an absolute blast at the awards ceremony in NYC this May! #OSGgoeswild lol.) Voting for the People's Voice Award is open from now until Thursday, April 19th, at 11:59 PM/PST. [Click here]( to cast your vote! Psst...we're having an app sale! To celebrate our nomination (and 2-year app-iversary!), we’re running an app sale until April 11th! The Oh She Glows Recipe App is currently on sale for 99 cents, so it’s a great time to take advantage if you’ve been thinking about trying it out. We now have over 140 plant-based recipes (including over 110 gluten-free!), and I add new ones on a regular basis to keep that kitchen inspiration coming. :) You can download our app in the [Apple Store]( or [Google Play Store](. Again, I can’t thank you enough for all of your support. Have a delicious weekend, everyone! [Hungry for more? Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
