But it’s happening across the country, including in New York. Our hearts break every time a new, terrible detail is revealed – tent cities, chain-link cages, children wailing for their parents. That’s why on Saturday, June 30, we’re holding a [Rally to End Family Separation](QCYZfHJKvR07aCBK7TEWOiaaaaD24~BNTF-Weaa?s=2_57818~amp;e=sshtssZnabkevjmA1~255zhlbhm.bpl~amp;m=b~amp;y=) and taking part in a Concert for America in New York City. Thousands are expected to attend. This country is angry about an unprecedented, Trump-created crisis at our southern border, and this week our outcry shamed him into pretending to end the crisis by signing an executive order. But we’re not fooled – the executive order is a sham. Trump continues to hold thousands of children hostage to get his anti-immigrant wish list: building a wall, ending protections for children, constructing massive family jails, and deporting as many people as possible. This fight isn’t over, {NAME}, and we need to do everything we can to make sure Trump doesn’t get away with this. [NYC March and Rally to End Family Separation](QCYZfHJKvR07aCBK7TEWOiaaaaD24~BNTF-Weaa?s=2_57818~amp;e=sshtssZnabkevjmA1~255zhlbhm.bpl~amp;m=c~amp;y=) Saturday, June 30, 10 a.m. Foley Square to Brooklyn Bridge New York, NY 10013 Concert for America, benefiting the ACLU of Texas and other organizations fighting for immigrant families Saturday, June 30, 5 p.m. The Great Hall at Cooper Union 7 East 7th Street, New York, NY Performers include Tina Fey, Audra McDonald, Idinia Menzel and others [Tickets are available on Eventbrite](QCYZfHJKvR07aCBK7TEWOiaaaaD24~BNTF-Weaa?s=2_57818~amp;e=sshtssZnabkevjmA1~255zhlbhm.bpl~amp;m=d~amp;y=) Recent days have shown the power of our voices when we come together and stand up for immigrant children and families. Let that be the fuel that drives us to continue this fight any way we can. Even if you can’t show up on Saturday, there’s still more you can do – whether it’s chipping in a few dollars to help, writing letters to detained children, or pressuring Congress to put the administration’s brutality in check. There’s a lot left to do, but make no mistake: We will win. We only need to keep it up.
