NextChapter for All Practice Areas ⚖️ A part of our [Fall '21 Release]( NextChapter Legal brings our powerful case management and add-on automation tools to legal professionals in all areas of law. Here's how it works in just a few simple steps: - Select your practice areas in account settings from a list of preset options. - Make [document checklists]( tasks, fees, events, and more for each selected practice area. Everything is fully customizable to fit your unique needs. - Build [custom fields]( for each practice area based on the information you want to collect and track for your clients by using SALI [legal matter specification standards]( (LMSS). Options include custom text, dropdown, checkbox, date, and more. - Start a new case in the proper practice area, and begin inputting info into the custom fields you created in your settings. You can even upload documents to our secure Client Document Storage, track time spent in each case, create new events, and more. - And don't forget to harness more of NextChapter's case management and form tools for all practice areas, including NextChapter Docs, Client Portal (Coming Soon), Client Texting, Payments, and more! We can't fit all of NextChapter Legal's amazing features and tools into one email, so head over to our [brand new website]( for more info. And don't forget to check out one of our webinars that dive into more info on LMSS and NextChapter Docs below! *Please note, bankruptcy users will not experience any disruptions to their service as a part of this launch. SALI and NextChapter Docs for All Practice Areas 📄 As we move to offer software for all practice areas, we've adopted legal matter specification standards from the SALI, [Standards Advancements for the Legal Industry]( alliance. These standard naming conventions help to unify the terms used by those in the legal industry and make it so data can be shared across legal tech tools. When you create a custom field in the practice area of your choosing, you can search the SALI database for pre-set options to pick from. These fields then show up when you start a new case for you to fill out and track your client's data. Additionally, LMSS-based custom fields can also be used in our add-on tools like [NextChapter Docs]( a doc assembly You can create new document templates, drag and drop tags based on custom fields that will autofill with case info, and duplicate documents with ease. Want to find out more about SALI and NextChapter Docs? Join us and special guest Damien Riehl, Managing Director of Product Workflow at Fastcase on Tuesday 12/14 at 2:30 PM ET to see LMSS fields in action and learn more about NextChapter Docs. Damien is a SALI leader, building out the SALI LMSS from V1's 1,500 fields (January 2020) to V2's 9,700+ fields (December 2021).
