Learn more about who youâve been chatting with at NextChapter. Kelly Oldiges: Kelly has been with NextChapter for four years on the success team and started in 2022 as the Customer Success Manager. She is enthusiastic about improving the lives of attorneys with smart and intuitive software. She spends her time outside of the office running, indoor cycling, and playing volleyball on multiple teams throughout the year. Jimmy Brooks: Jimmy is our newest Customer Success Specialist and has been on the team since December 2022. Outside of work, Jimmy loves being creative, whether heâs building things or making art. He also loves music, hanging with friends, and being a dad to his 2-year-old daughter. Kelly Torres: Customer Success and Operations Lead Kelly Torres has been at NextChapter for just over 2 years. Kelly loves helping the legal professionals she works with every day grow and succeed by making sure they are getting the most out of NextChapter. Conferences âï¸ [ABI]( is hosting their third annual [Consumer Practice Extravaganza]( from October 30th - November 10th. This virtual conference is offering quality sessions on key consumer bankruptcy topics, including student loans, AI/technology, subchapter V, Chapter 13s, ethics, and more. We are excited to be hosting the âIndustry Innovations and Solutionsâ session on November 8, 2023 at 3:00 PM. Industry News ð NextChapter has witnessed significant growth in the number of filings made in recent months, mirroring the national trend. According to[Epiq]( individual filings have increased by 17% year-to-date. This increase is expected to continue due to the rising levels of[credit card debt]( and the resumption of student loan payments, which will put additional financial strain on many consumers. However, the impact of these financial strains may not be evenly distributed across different generations.[PYMTS reports]( that "baby boomers and seniors are still the generation most able to make ends meet." On the other hand, a report titled "[New Reality Check: The Paycheck-to-Paycheck Report]( found that 55% of Millennials have experienced at least one unexpected expense in the past three months. It also estimates that among the US population living paycheck-to-paycheck, Gen X holds 18%, Gen Y holds 15%, and Millennials hold 25%. These variations suggest that law firms aiming to reach consumers in need must[tailor their messaging and marketing strategies]( to different age groups, rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all approach. His firm is located in Lenexa, Kansas, and specializes in bankruptcy. On average, his firm files about 150 cases annually. David was inspired to become a bankruptcy attorney because he wanted to assist clients through financial difficulties. He first began using NextChapter in 2018 and enjoys our texting feature,[NextMessage]( which allows direct communication with the client through the software.
