Unbeatable QPR from a pair of K&L favorites... Monday Dec 19th, 2022 [View in Browser]( [KL-emailheader.gif]( 40% to 60% Off a Pair of Insider's QPR All-Stars from Grand Napa “Until a couple years ago I wasn't familiar with Grand Napa, but since then they've become a go-to producer for me when it comes to overachieving Napa Cabernet at very reasonable price points.” — Ryan Woodhouse, K&L Domestic Buyer --------------------------------------------------------------- Grand Napa has quickly become a can't-miss staple in our K&L Insider's Advantage line-up. Ever since their remarkable 2016s blew the doors off and sold at unprecedented rates, we've kept a strong direct-relationship with the winery to keep bringing you these crowd-pleasing Napa beauties at prices that simply can't be beat. This pair of 2018s is thoroughly emblematic of both the vintage and the producer's style, making for two of the best bang-for-the-buck charmers in our Napa inventory. The Reserve takes things up a notch in an "expansive, layered" wine that garnered 94 points from Jeb Dunnuck and had domestic buyer Ryan Woodhouse declaring, "The 2018 Reserve Cabernet illustrates what I love about this vintage—understated power, subtle length, lovely purity of fruit, and precise varietal expression." The 2018 Master Red is a quintessential upfront gem and "a delicious, crowd-pleasing wine that you'll turn to time and time again," according to Ryan. Best of all, at pricing that ranges from 40% to 60% off the winery's frontline rates, these offer stellar Napa QPR and the potential to shine for upwards of 15 years or more in the cellar. If history is any guide, you should be quick on the draw with these K&L best sellers, as they've already developed a devoted following among both staff and clientele alike. It has the 2018 vintage's fresher, more elegant style yet brings ample fruit and has an expansive, layered mouthfeel as well as a great finish. It's another wine to enjoy any time over the coming 15-20 years." (01/2021) Woodhouse]( | K&L Domestic Buyer | Review Date: April 30, 2021 Until a couple years ago I wasn't familiar with Grand Napa, but since then they've become a go-to producer for me when it comes to overachieving Napa Cabernet at very reasonable price points. Our ongoing winery-direct relationship means we can streamline these wines to you at significant discounts off the original SRPs. The 2018 Reserve Cabernet illustrates what I love about this vintage—understated power, subtle length, lovely purity of fruit, and precise varietal expression. Compared to previous vintages, there are finer tannins and more freshness on the palate in 2018. There's plenty of dark fruit here: cassis, huckleberry, interwoven with loamy earth, cedar, new leather, and dark floral tones. The oak is very nicely judged, adding some luxurious nuance but without masking the quality of the fruit. Because the oak is nicely integrated and the tannins are so well refined, this wine is totally approachable now but will continue to develop steadily over the next 10 years or more. As with all the Grand Napa wines before this one, they have become best-selling staff favorites and quickly sold out! Who doesn't like a bargain in highly rated Napa Cab? --------------------------------------------------------------- [2018 Grand Napa "Master Red" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (Elsewhere $50+)]( Grand Napa "Master Red" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (Elsewhere $50+)]( ($29.95) 92 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Loads of black cherries, currants, tobacco leaf, chocolate, and spring flower notes emerge from the 2018 Master Red. A medium to full-bodied, lightly textured blend with integrated tannins and a clean, classy finish." (01/2021) 92 points James Suckling: "Savory aromas of dried mushroom and oyster shell on the nose, layered with dried blackcurrant and tobacco. It's medium- to full-bodied with sleek, integrated tannins. Flavorful with a juicy, savory finish." (12/2020) Woodhouse]( | K&L Domestic Buyer | Review Date: March 14, 2021 "Master Red" is a proprietary red blend from Grand Napa Vineyards and has often been my favorite from them, at least for drinking in the near-term. The 2018 is composed of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Malbec, and 20% Merlot. The core of Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from Rutherford and Oakville plus some mountain fruit from Diamond Mountain and Atlas Peak, gives plenty of power and concentration. The smaller amounts of Malbec and Merlot give lush, soft, exuberant fruit that allows for early drinking and a less tannic feel than some of the straight Cabernet releases. Showing the quality of the 2018 vintage, this wine is wonderfully pure and polished with ripe redcurrant, cassis, sandalwood, chocolate truffle, subtle oak spice, and some dusty earth. The tannins are groomed and fine, gliding over the palate with grace. It's nice to have a Napa Valley Bordeaux-style blend that is powerful but also very refined and soft on the palate without having to wait for the structure to resolve. This is a SCREAMING deal at our HUGELY discounted price. Don't miss this edition of the "Master Red." It's a delicious, crowd pleasing wine that you'll turn to time and time again. --------------------------------------------------------------- [New Feed]( [Auction]( [Local]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [On the Trail (K&L Blog)]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [Instagram]( [Instagram]( [Facebook]( [Twitter]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [BORDEAUX]( | [NAPA]( | [BURGUNDY]( | [CHAMPAGNE]( | [ITALY]( | [RHÔNE]( | [SPIRITS]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [My Account]( | [Wine Clubs]( | [Events]( |[Gift Cards]( | [Accessories]( | [Delivery]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Missed an offer?
