A quintessential classic in a historic modern vintage… Wednesday Jun 14th, 2023 [View in Browser]( [KL-emailheader.gif]( Insider’s Pricing on 95-Point Napa Cab from a Historic Property [2018 Stags' Leap Winery Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (Elsewhere $57]( ($29.99) “Few names are more synonymous with Napa Cabernet than Stags' Leap Winery.” — Ryan Woodhouse, K&L Domestic Buyer --------------------------------------------------------------- We are on the cusp of an extraordinary era in wine buying, one that will be remembered as the most remarkable in decades. Today, we are thrilled to introduce an offer that undoubtedly stands among the top-tier deals in our entire inventory. [Stags' Leap Estate] --------------------------------------------------------------- [2018 Stags' Leap Winery Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (Elsewhere $50+)]( Stags' Leap Winery Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (Elsewhere $57)]( ($29.99) 95 points James Suckling: "A very pretty Cabernet with very fine tannins that are polished and fresh. Beautiful currant, chocolate and walnut character. Medium to full body and a long, caressing finish. Builds beautifully at the end. So delicious now, but will develop nicely in bottle. Real 2018 character. Top vintage." (06/2021) Woodhouse]( | K&L Domestic Buyer Few names are more synonymous with Napa Cabernet than Stags' Leap Winery. With a history going all the way back to 1872 and one of the oldest underground caves in the valley, this iconic property has pedigree in spades. They also have some of the most prime real estate in all of the valley, right in the heart of Stags' Leap. This sub-region is well known for its rocky volcanic soils and extra reflected heat from the steep, craggy rock palisades that tower over the vineyards in the eastern Vaca ranges. A long, moderate vintage like 2018 really worked well for this area, with the fruit achieving perfect physiological ripeness and maturity but without getting overly ripe or highly alcoholic. While this wine still has plenty of the lush, dark fruit like blackcurrant, plum, mulberry, that you expect from Stags' Leap, it also has subtle tobacco notes, dried herbs, cedar, and scorched earth. Relatively easy drinking, but enough structure for a classic Steak Frites pairing. This is such a great bottle of Cabernet for the money that is truly shining in this top-quality vintage. --------------------------------------------------------------- [New Feed]( [Auction]( [Local]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [On the Trail (K&L Blog)]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [Instagram]( [Instagram]( [Facebook]( [Twitter]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [BORDEAUX]( | [NAPA]( | [BURGUNDY]( | [CHAMPAGNE]( | [ITALY]( | [RHÔNE]( | [SPIRITS]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [My Account]( | [Wine Clubs]( | [Events]( |[Gift Cards]( | [Accessories]( | [Delivery]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Missed an offer?
