Your ideal case-buy crowd pleaser for the holidays... Wednesday Nov 16th, 2022 [View in Browser]( [KL-emailheader.gif]( WA92: 50% Off a Pioneering Artisan Cali Pinot [2016 Copain "Les Voisins" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir (Previously $40)]( ($19.95) "...the prices we offer on these wines are some of the very best values in the history of K&L." — Ryan Woodhouse, K&L Domestic Buyer --------------------------------------------------------------- When our friends at Copain offered us a shot at another winery-direct, library vintage of their perennial crowd-pleaser Les Voisins Pinot Noir, we jumped at the chance. After all, our Insider's offers on the equally stupendous 2017 have become some of our biggest smash-hit offers of the year. Just entering its prime-drinking wheelhouse, the 2016 Les Voisins is pure Anderson Valley charm and finesse, "bright and fresh in the mouth with a great balance of fresh fruit and earth character," per Wine Advocate. Domestic buyer Ryan Woodhouse concurs, noting, "Despite being quite dark-fruited and powerful, it's beautifully balanced" and ready to shine at the holiday table or take a few more years' rest in the cellar. Our market-best, sub-$20 price is 50% off the original release, making this another certain gangbusters offer that's going to disappear in a flash. So, as is always the case with Copain, the only question is, how much can you fit in your cellar? --------------------------------------------------------------- [2016 Copain "Les Voisins" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir (Previously $40)]( Copain "Les Voisins" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir (Previously $40)]( ($19.95) 92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Pale to medium ruby, the 2016 Pinot Noir Les Voisins, aged 16 months in 10% new French oak, opens with aromas of stewed black tea leaves, crushed red cherries, fresh cranberries, orange peel, forest floor and damp earth. Light to medium-bodied, it's bright and fresh in the mouth with a great balance of fresh fruit and earth character, framed with soft, grainy tannins and finishing long. (EB)" (12/2019) Woodhouse]( | K&L Domestic Buyer | Review Date: October 28, 2022 Once again, we've gone back to the proverbial well and managed to secure another screaming deal from the folks at Copain. This winery helped put the Anderson Valley on the map when winemaker Wells Guthrie took inspiration from the legendary Ted Lemon of Littorai and continued to elevate the level of cool-climate California Pinot Noir. Honing his craft with other iconic winemakers such as Michel Chapoutier, Jean-Louis Chave, Helen Turley, and Ehren Jordan, Guthrie went strength-to-strength. Over the years, we have nurtured a deep connection with Copain, and many of you will know that the prices we offer on these wines are some of the very best values in the history of K&L. The 2016 Les Voisins Pinot Noir comes from some of the best vineyards in Anderson Valley including Maggy Hawk, Abel, and Edmeades. The wine is concentrated with lots of dark cherry compote, brambly fruits, turned earth, dry leaves, baking spice, leather, and sandalwood. Despite being quite dark-fruited and powerful, it's beautifully balanced at 12.9% ABV, showing the moderate climate of the valley's "deep end," where fog and cold ocean breezes cool the vines. A few years in bottle has only improved this beauty, and it is now primed and ready to go for immediate gratification (or at least another five years in the cellar if desired). At 50% off SRP and under $20, this is extremely hard to beat. Keep a case of this around and you'll not be disappointed. --------------------------------------------------------------- [New Feed]( [Auction]( [Local]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [On the Trail (K&L Blog)]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [Instagram]( [Instagram]( [Facebook]( [Twitter]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [BORDEAUX]( | [NAPA]( | [BURGUNDY]( | [CHAMPAGNE]( | [ITALY]( | [RHÔNE]( | [SPIRITS]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [My Account]( | [Wine Clubs]( | [Events]( |[Gift Cards]( | [Accessories]( | [Delivery]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Missed an offer?
