Our Newest Acquisitions and Returning Favorites, All In One Place... Tuesday Oct 18th, 2022 [View in Browser]( [KL-emailheader.gif]( Whether it is a new allocation or an old favorite, below you will find our most recent additions to the diverse selection at K&L Wine Merchants. We receive new opportunities weekly, from direct imports to local distributors to carefully inspected back-vintage collections—read on for the best of this week's discoveries. Here is a look at our full list of [New Arrivals](. Here is our full list of items that are [Back in Stock](. Here you can browse [all our recent additions on the website](. [Alesme] --------------------------------------------------------------- We've just secured another parcel of an undisputed best buy from the towering 2018 Bordeaux vintage. Trailing only Palmer, Château Margaux, and Rauzan-Ségla in Jeb Dunnuck's vintage report, the 97-point [2018 Marquis d'Alesme Margaux]( is more akin to Bordeaux royalty than a modestly priced third growth. Calling it "a rock star Margaux that should be snatched up by readers," Dunnuck is not alone in his praise—with big marks from Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, and both Antonio Galloni and Neal Martin at Vinous, there is no doubt that Marquis d'Alesme's 2018 is a brilliant wine that rivals many a top Left Bank collectible for a fraction of the price. We've been huge fans of the recent releases from this property that's been crafting under-the-radar, over-performing gems for the past decade, but now the word is clearly out with this regal 2018, judging by how quickly our last parcel disappeared. For a high-upside, Left Bank, classified growth collectible at this kind of pricing, it doesn't get much better. Rising star Château de Nalys has finally broken through since Guigal took over the estate, and this property is now on Châteauneuf collectors' short lists the world over—by conjuring that unidentifiable Guigal magic in the vineyards and cellar, the Nalys flagship red is exceeding expectations like never before. We have acquired a pair of 97-point, Guigal-produced vintages at well below the going market rate that every Rhône collector will want in quantity. The celebrated [2018 Château de Nalys Grand Vin Châteauneuf-du-Pape]( recently landed as the #10 Wine of the Year from Wine Spectator, and the equally majesterial [2017 Château de Nalys Grand Vin Châteauneuf-du-Pape]( is a top buy in an under-the-radar excellent vintage. We recommend going big on this up-and-coming renaissance star, as today's set is a great way to expand your Châteauneuf cellar in one go, and we fully expect future prices and availability to respond to the ever-increasing praise as well. Barrell Craft Spirits founder Joe Beatrice has created America's preeminent independent bottler. Working only in small batches or single barrels, Barrell has assembled the finest portfolio of casks available in the United States. They have won a bevy of major awards ranging from 2018's Best American Whiskey according to Forbes' Fred Minnick to Best Small Batch Bourbon at the 2019 San Francisco Spirits Competition, as well as a host of double gold awards. We're fortunate to have secured another pair of astounding K&L Exclusives from this benchmark label, both of which show not only Barrell’s commitment to quality but also a willingness to push boundaries. The [Barrell "Private Release C94A - K&L Exclusive" Blend of Straight Bourbon Whiskeys]( contains contains a portion to 17-year-old juice, making it an outsized, complex stunner for its price, while the [Barrell 5 Year Old K&L Exclusive Single Barrel #Z2G8 Straight Bourbon Whiskey]( pushes the boundaries of what we expect from a young Kentucky bourbon.
