Our Newest Acquisitions and Returning Favorites, All In One Place... Tuesday Aug 16th, 2022 [View in Browser]( [KL-emailheader.gif]( Whether it is a new allocation or an old favorite, below you will find our most recent additions to the diverse selection at K&L Wine Merchants. We receive new opportunities weekly, from direct imports to local distributors to carefully inspected back-vintage collections—read on for the best of this week's discoveries. Here is a look at our full list of [New Arrivals](. Here is our full list of items that are [Back in Stock](. Here you can browse [all our recent additions on the website](. [Clos de la Bonnette] --------------------------------------------------------------- The fabulous Clos Saint-Jean, run by the Maurel brothers with the late Philippe Cambie consulting, turned out not one, not two, but three perfect 100-point wines in Jeb Dunnuck’s 2019 vintage report. While those coveted collectible masterpieces are often out of reach for many wine aficionados (or sold-out), the [2019 Clos Saint-Jean Châteauneuf-du-Pape]( remains a staggering value for anyone who wants to experience some of the finest winemaking in the Southern Rhône at an absolute steal. Dunnuck hails its "full-bodied, ripe, seamless style" from what is "clearly a gorgeous vintage from this estate." Much of our parcels have sold out before arrival, and the remaining stock never lasts long, so avid fans should stock up while they can at our exceptional, sub-$45 pricing. Our industry-leading Bordeaux selection is about to get even more expansive with [a huge slate of new arrivals]( lead by a spectacular back-vintage find in the [2005 Tertre Daugay St-Émilion.]( "Full-bodied, with very refined tannins and a caressing texture [that] goes on and on" according to James Suckling. This is a quintessential example of one of the great modern vintages, and it's now squarely in its wheelhouse, with focused secondary characteristics fully in the picture, supported by still-prominent primary fruit and hallmark St-Émilion minerality and structure. Sub-$50 library vintages of this quality and provenance are rarer by the day, especially from the epic 2005 vintage. Savvy collectors will see this as the stellar value opportunity that it is and stock up big. One of the absolute best hidden-gem producers from the Northern Rhône, Clos de la Bonnette has been a K&L favorite for a long time. In terms of reference-point bottlings from a stellar appellation, the [2020 Clos de la Bonnette "Légende Bonnetta" Condrieu]( once again stands tall among the world's greatest expressions of the singular Viognier varietal. Several consecutive vintages have proven the unmistakable quality and character of this domaine, to the point that the legendary Marcel Guigal sought a contract for the fruit. Thankfully, the owners declined and kept producing this perennial star. The 2020 boasts 96-point review Decanter that calls it "a natural, poetic style of Condrieu that's perfectly balanced, not as powerful as 2019 but so beautiful and classic."
