Our Newest Acquisitions and Returning Favorites, All In One Place... Tuesday Jan 4th, 2022 [View in Browser]( [KL-emailheader.gif]( Whether it is a new allocation or an old favorite, below you will find our most recent additions to the diverse selection at K&L Wine Merchants. We receive new opportunities weekly, from direct imports to local distributors to carefully inspected back-vintage collections—read on for the best of this week's discoveries. Here is a look at our full list of [New Arrivals](. Here is our full list of items that are [Back in Stock](. Here you can browse [all our recent additions on the website](. [Arterberry Maresh] --------------------------------------------------------------- The new year brings several outstanding new arrivals and old favorites to our shelves. First up, the 2019 Tascante “Ghiaia Nera” Etna Rosso presents an outrageously delicious, 95-point value stunner from the Sicilian powerhouse estate Tasca d'Almerita. "Such beauty," declares James Suckling, "So drinkable and fine." Made from the Sicilian indigenous varietal Nerello Mascalese, this "is a finely textured wine ... you get great value here," according to Wine Advocate's Monica Larner. The long-awaited W.B Saffell release from the Whiskey Barons has finally arrived, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the debut batch. Made by master distiller Eddie Russell, the man responsible for some of the most famous and coveted bourbons to come out of the Bluegrass State, it’s an absolutely top-shelf bourbon expression that should be on any collector’s short list. "It's seamless, powerful, and graceful all at once,” according to K&L spirits buyer Andrew Whiteley. Bottled at 107 proof and showing the unmistakable signature of a true master, the W.B. Saffell Batch No. 1 Kentucky Straight Bourbon is an unequivocally outstanding new addition to the craft bourbon scene that will surely find a fanatical fan base with each subsequent release. Made in highly limited quantities, we expect this first release to fly out the door on its way to becoming a collectible icon. Finally, a spectacular trio of 2019s from Oregon pioneer Arterberry Maresh shows just how dialed in this estate is. As the only third-generation winemaker in Willamette Valley, Jim Maresh has family roots that go back to the very beginning of viticulture in Oregon. Each year, he fashions some of the most alluring Willamette Pinots on the market, thanks in large part to his family's unparalleled old-vine parcels in the Maresh and Weber vineyards. These three wines (two Pinots and a Chardonnay) give crystalline and transparent expressions of these priceless old vines. With Wine Advocate giving scores of 96+ to 98 points on these benchmark gems, we have some of the greatest buys in collectible Pinot and Chardonnay from anywhere in the world.
