It continues to be busy times here at K&L as our new arrivals for 2020 are just now hitting the shelves. Thankfully there are still many 2016 Rhônes hitting the market, and one of the best values comes from one of our favorite direct-import estates: Montfaucon. The 2016 Montfaucon Côtes du Rhône is handily among the best we've had from this excellent estate, and at $12.99, it's an unrivaled bargain. The 2017s from the Rhône are equally as compelling as their predecessors, which is why you should take note of the 2017 Mas de Sainte Croix "Passion d'Une Terre" Côtes du Rhône-Villages Valréas. Its 91-point rating and $13.99 price make it a smart buy for those on the hunt for a terrific, everyday house red. Speaking of outstanding values, red wine lovers will want to zero in on the 2013 Ravenswood "Icon." Regularly priced at $75, we snagged a massive discount and are offering this beauty for only $19.99. The wine is nothing short of amazing and is destined to become a huge hit—make sure to pick up your bottles before it's gone for good. The bubblies in your cellar may have taken a hit at the New Year, so this is the perfect opportunity to re-load on the Baron-Fuenté "Grande Réserve" Brut Champagne. This perennial favorite is one of the best values going in all of Champagne—it's hard to believe it can only be had for $24.99! Also, for Champagne fans is a rare collector's pack from Salon. Featuring two bottles each of the 2004, 2006, and 2007 vintage and one magnum of the famed 2008 vintage, this is a unique opportunity to own some of the top vintages from one of Champagne's most celebrated houses. It's an excellent time to be a bourbon drinker, as we have two exciting arrivals in the form of Basil Hayden's 10 Year Old Kentucky Bourbon and Booker's "Beaten Biscuits 2019-4" Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Both a ridiculously delicious renditions from two of the top names in American whiskey. From Spain, we have the much-anticipated 2011 Bodegas Muga "Prado Enea" Gran Reserva Rioja. Rated 99 points and priced at only $79.99, it continues to be one of the top values in the world of collectible wine. The is the perfect candidate for a case purchase as this 2011 will only gain in power and depth in the coming years. Lastly is Bordeaux's blue-chips. This week we have two 100-point powerhouses: 2009 Latour and 2010 Pontet-Canet in 6-pack OWC These would be welcome additions to any cellar rich in the best of Bordeaux and are among the top wines in their respective vintages. These are statement wines that illustrate with perfect clarity why Bordeaux continues to be revered by so many.
