Recipes to help you hit refresh for 2022. Sunday Recipe Inspiration Batch 423 Welcome to the New Yea

Recipes to help you hit refresh for 2022. [logo]( Sunday Recipe Inspiration Batch 423 [Ultimate Sandwich Bagels]( Welcome to the New Year, friends. While I wish 2022 were arriving under better circumstances, I am nonetheless happy to greet it. At the very least, this new start to a new year is a chance to hit the refresh button. And while that can come in many different forms for everyone, I hope baking will play a role for each of us here. Personally, I'm eager to revitalize my culinary routines. Lately, they've taken a hit; and I'm getting pretty tired of cobbling together meals, eating the kids' breakfast leftovers, and generally relying on hurried, last-minute cooking and baking to feed my family and myself. Our 2022 Recipe of the Year will be my starting place. No more soggy cereal, cold scrambles, or half-eaten toast for me, thank you. I'll be enjoying hot, fresh, and amazing breakfast sandwiches made with these [Ultimate Sandwich Bagels]( (above). With exactly the right chew and a lightness that is hard to find in a bagel, these will be my go-to breakfast sandwich base for a long time to come. They are now officially my daughter's favorite bagel, and we affectionately know them as "Molly's Bagels" (named after our Senior Recipe Developer, Molly Marzalek-Kelly, who created them) in our house. Since we can't eat bagels every day (or maybe we can...), I will also have this [Homemade Whole Grain Pancake Mix]( prepped and ready for easy, a-la-minute mixing and griddling. These have long been my favorite pancakes, and I love love love that they're full of whole grains for hearty flavor and texture. With breakfast taken care of, I'm hoping other routines will fall into place more easily. I'd like to continue to work on my technique for making my own [Tortillas de Maíz]( so that taco night can be a weekly occurrence. I definitely want to have a weekly bread to turn to, and this [Saturday Focaccia]( has great potential. And I love the idea of a weekly dessert, especially one like this [Friday Night Double Fudge Chocolate Cake](. It would be a welcome addition to the semi-regular Friday evening get-together I have with friends. What will you bake this first week of 2022? I hope something here has caught your eye and maybe even gotten you to pull out a mixing bowl. Happy baking!
