Dreamy recipes for busy weekday or leisurely weekend mornings. [Free shipping on orders over $100 ›]( [logo]( Sunday Recipe Inspiration Batch 387 [Perfectly Pillowy Cinnamon Rolls]( I've started a pandemic tradition: every Friday morning, instead of my usual toast or overnight oats, I treat myself to a pastry (or other baked good). It's a small bit of self-care that brings me joy when I'm otherwise feeling rundown. While I don't always bake my own Friday pastry from scratch (I like to support local bakers, too), often it's the excuse I need to bake just for myself. As you can probably guess, many of my Fridays have kicked off with a [pillowy cinnamon roll]( (above) or two. I can now whip them up from memory and they're a seamless part of my weekly routine when I do make them. Only good can come from that, right? In absence of cinnamon rolls, you can bet streusel-topped coffeecakes have made a few Friday appearances. This [Rye Chocolate Coffeecake]( is definitely one of my more recent favorites, and the reason I keep a bag of rye flour lying around. I also regularly turn to this [Sourdough Cinnamon Crumb Cake]( when I have sourdough discard to use. The generous ratio of crumb to cake should be standard across all coffeecakes in my book. Another pastry Friday highlight for me has been this [Flaky Apple Tart](. As we come out of apple season, I'm thinking strawberries and stone fruits like plums and nectarines would be a really good substitution. And while we're on the subject of flaky and fruit alternatives, these [Blueberry Hand Pies]( are next on deck for me. I have one final bag of last season's Maine blueberries in my freezer, and these portable pies have been on my to-do list for too long. I would also really like to try them with rhubarb as it comes into season. I'll let you know how that goes. In the meantime, I hope my little ritual has inspired you to bake something just for you this week. I'll be back in May!
