The (household) party is on with these 5 snacks. [logo]( Sunday Recipe Inspiration Batch 376 [Rye Pretzels with Cheesy Beer Sauce]( How about three cheers for Kye last week! She is someone who motivates me regularly at work, so I have no doubt she got many of you thinking about your own baking goals. And speaking of goals (though of a different kind), sporting events are still a thing during these strange pandemic times! I write that with enthusiasm because as someone who really doesn't follow many sports, it just recently occurred to me that the biggest football game of the year is only a week away. That means it's snack time! There are few meals I enjoy more than a spread of carbohydrate-rich snacks. Add cheese and I'm all the happier. You too? Then will you join me in a plate of [Gougères]( and [Cheese Pennies]( at kick off? The former are good even if you're going light on the carbs these days. The latter, too, are more cheese than flour and could certainly be made gluten-free with a little Measure for Measure Flour. Now, for the next course, I think I'll try out these [Bacon Bites](. Susan Reid made them for one of her glorious Instagram stories the other week and I haven't stopped thinking about them since. Plus, bacon. I'm also ready to do some experimenting with the stuffed version of these [Rye Pretzels with Cheesy Beer Sauce]( (shown above and made according to the tip at the end of the recipe's main instructions). I'm thinking a little smoked ham beneath the cheese sauce and a sprinkling of chopped pickle on top sounds more than delightful. Savory pretzel danish, anyone? Then, of course, is the question of dessert. My answer: [Churros](. Prepare the pastry before the game (even days ahead) and freeze it according to the recipe. At half time, do a little frying and enjoy freshly fried churros with your favorite chocolate sauce for the rest of the game. With this menu, you'll come out a winner regardless of the results of the game. I promise!
