The thing is, I know what Fall brings ... trips to the wood pile, short days, icy windshields. This shift, in addition to my 2020 worries, has me dreading the change of season. But don't you worry, I have a plan. Maybe you need one, too? Here's what I'm thinking. Let's double down on love. Let's pour ourselves into the things and places — warm kitchen spaces — where we feel hopeful and renewed. Let's Bake it, until we Make it. Here are some ideas. I'll see you on the other side! After months of warm temperatures and hot oven hesitation, I'm cranking the dial, setting a course for warm and crusty. [Our daily bread](, known as "Maura's bread" to my family is this adaptable [no-fuss method](. I like to use rye for the whole grain portion.
