{NAME} When did you last visit an IT/MSP event and catch up with your peers? I've avoided any in-person events since the pandemic, so I thought the CompTIA EMEACon would be a good one to get back into the "networking mode". It was tiring - having to talk to people and stand on my feet - I was exhausted after the first morning, but worth going. I avoided the networking meal they laid on in the evening and headed to the UK's biggest movie screen (BFI Imax) to see The Creator, which is worth watching on the big screen. The highlight of the event was that I bumped into an old competitor on the way home. We shared a train and a meal during our journey back to Scotland. He's recently merged his IT service company with another. It was interesting to see how that is going, as mergers where both owners are still operating in the business are something you don't hear about - usually a straight buyout. The vibe I got from around the room is that M&A is still all the rage - not sure if this is a demographic thing or just due to the amount of cash sloshing around the economy. In other news: There are some important changes in the SEO landscape. As you might be aware, I've always focused on SEO over the years when helping MSPs grow their business. Due to recent algorithm changes and the growth of AI content, Google's been changing how websites are ranked in the search. To help you navigate this, I've got three events scheduled for this month - here are the details: Thursday 12th October - MSP AI SEO Optimization Rank higher in the search results by optimizing your IT Business website using AI . [Register here.]( Thursday 19th October - MSP Low Hanging Fruit Leads In this short webinar, you'll learn some of the hanging fruit search terms that none of your competitors are using. [Register here.]( Thursday 26th October - MSP SEO Blueprint Strategy Where to start with SEO. Things that will move the dial and how to plan out an effective SEO strategy for your MSP for long-term success. [Register here.]( Note to self - don't hand books out at a conference! Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
