{NAME} Howdy What's the state of the MSP industry? This question was posed to me by someone well-known in the space this week. I feel things are becoming fragmented - others would argue that the industry is becoming commoditized, but I'm afraid I have to disagree. Old school "IT support & services" yes, that's a race to the bottom; however, we've got: - Digital Optimization - Digital Transformation - Power Platform - Data Analytics - Process Automation And let's not forget Cyber Security. The MSP 2.0 Items that fall under these categories have yet to become commoditized, and anyone that tells you they're not doing well in the current climate is not paying enough attention to this list. The process of moving from break-fix to MSP has been challenging for many. Moving from MSP to MSP 2.0 will be even more tricky - you can't teach a dog new tricks. However, it's hard to ignore if you've got clients and prospects asking for this stuff and prepared to pay hand over fist. A lot of the marketing content that comes across my desk from competitors gets into the technicalities of an MSP's duties. None of this cheap marketing content touches on MSP 2.0 topics. 2023 will be a stand-out year for our members here at IT Rockstars as they will likely be the only ones marketing their business as an MSP 2.0 - [join us]( - all problems can be solved with more money.
