Yup… that’s right, I’m talking about the dreaded allergy season! (not the other thing I do that leads to coughing and red eyes...) I’ll tell ya, I’m SUFFERING this year. I don't know if it's those darn bloomin' trees with their powdery tree pollen falling everywhere...but my whole face looks like a swarm of angry bees ran into it! Red and swollen! So I got to thinkin’...I’ll bet there’s some study out there that proves CBD helps with allergies. I did some diggin’ on my own and I did find this study that was published in the European Journal of Pharmacology (Well, let's be honest... I found an article that TALKED about the study...) and it said that CBD could actually help to reduce inflammation in the airways and improve lung function in animals... (oh yeah, the study was on animals... *sad whistle noise*) Obviously, I wanted to know more about if it can help PEOPLE with allergies so I rang up Dr. Clark and asked him. Here’s what he said: “Well, sure... CBD helps with all sorts of inflammation and allergies get a lot of parts of your face inflamed. So it makes sense that taking some CBD when you’re suffering from allergies can help you feel better. That said, the affects of CBD on allergies hasn’t been studied extensively. But in my opinion, it can help plenty with inflammation and irritation. Additionally, CBD has been shown to help regulate the immune system, which could also play a role in reducing the severity of seasonal allergies..” So there you go! If you were thinking about trying this out, I think you can safely try it. Certainly won’t make anything worse! But I’m not a doctor, so as always, if you have any questions about whether or not CBD is ok to help with your allergies…or if you can mix it with any other medications you’re taking… Ask your doctor first! But if you need some CBD to help you with the sneezin’, snifflin’, coughin’ blues…we gotchu covered. Either way, I hope you’re enjoying some happy spring good vibes! Keep on keepin’ on.
