Yesterday, we fell short of our urgent World Wildlife Day goal. But we can’t abandon terrified wolf pups to be maimed and killed by brutal hunters! That’s why we’re extending our deadline until 11: 59 p.m. TON IGHT to fight back! [ESA protections and vulnerable wolf populations under attack by the trophy hunting lobby]( Right now, DECADES of wolf conservation could be violently undone: Three young gray wolves were brutally MURDERED near the Colorado-Wyoming border. These were some of Colorado’s first wild-born pups in more than 80 years. But Colorado’s wolves can be LEGALLY shot and killed as soon as they step over state lines into wolf-hostile states. That means trophy hunters DELIBERATELY LURED these poor creatures out of their protected zone and SHOT THEM TO DEATH without consequence! What’s more – cruel private interests like the trophy hunting lobby have powerful allies in the fossil fuel industry. They're mounting a COMBINED ATTACK on our vulnerable wildlife and the lands they need to survive. Now, this anti-environment coalition is working nonstop to weaken the Endangered Species Act (ESA)! When federal protections for gray wolves were rolled back in 2020, trophy hunters and fossil fuel companies reaped the benefits – but the consequences for precious wildlife were DISASTROUS. Unless we act, struggling wolf populations could lose their BEST CHANCE to recover from this senseless killing. The future of our wolves and other vital species depends on what we do now, friend. We're fighting to strengthen the ESA with everything we can, so we can protect these species from the heartless destruction of our planet and everything that lives on it. But we can't win this fight without you, and our World Wildlife Day extension expires at MIDN IGHT TON IGHT. [Please: Make a membership donation right now to help protect our wildlife, our communities and our planet before it's too late.]( Standing with you, Raena Garcia Senior Fossil Fuels and Lands Campaigner Friends of the Earth Contact Us Friends of the Earth U.S. Washington, D.C. | Berkeley, CA 1-877-843-8687 [Contact Us]( Email Preferences [Unsubscribe]( Learn more [foe.org/about-us]( [foe.org/news]( [foeaction.org]( Connect [Friends of the Earth on Facebook]( [Friends of the Earth on Twitter]( [Friends of the Earth on Flickr]( © 2024, Friends of the Earth.
