A layer of snow blankets the forest floor, but it’s not white... It’s RED — drenched

A layer of snow blankets the forest floor, but it’s not white... It’s RED — drenched with blood. A furry lifeless mass with four legs and pointed ears lays nearby. It’s the mangled carcass of a mama gray wolf who has just been SAVEGELY MURDERED by trophy hunters. Her helpless and now orphaned pups huddle together, shivering and whimpering in the winter’s cold. Without their mother, the innocent wolf pups will soon DIE of starvation or hypothermia. This devastating scene is all too real for innocent gray wolves who are being massacred in droves by brutal trophy hunters. But while gray wolf populations are being VIOLENTLY WIPED OUT before our eyes, corrupt and extremist politicians are aggressively working to REMOVE critical Endangered Species Act protections that could SAVE countless wolf lives. In fact, just last week, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced that they WILL NOT RELIST gray wolves in the Northern Rockies area under protections of the Endangered Species Act (ESA). This recent decision poses a major threat of brutality on the remaining gray wolf population and could push these vulnerable species to EXTINCTION. Please, Friend, these defenseless animals desperately need you to be their voice TODAY if they are going to have a shot at survival. [Will you speak up for gray wolves right away, before more]( pups are murdered? Take action now to DEMAND lifesaving ESA protections for gray wolves while there’s still time left >>]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( We are on the brink of losing of North America’s most historic and nationally treasured animals, Friend. These iconic mammals aren’t just the adorable ancestors of the domestic dogs that we humans know as pets, but gray wolves also play a crucial role in maintaining our public lands and keeping our planet’s ecosystems in check. But despite all of the cultural value and environmental benefits that gray wolves provide, anti-wolf lawmakers are teaming up with the hunting lobby and corporate polluters to strip away federal protections for this vulnerable species — all for greed and political power. Extremist legislators and Big Polluters are determined to make it completely legal for merciless trophy hunters to recklessly massacre gray wolves without consequence. And they’ve got the leverage and resources to make it happen. That’s why it’s going to take A LOT of grassroots support from activists like you if we are going to DEFEAT these bad actors and their anti-wolf agenda. We still need 4,562 more names on our petition by 11:59 PM TONIGHT to make a strong enough impact: [Can we count on your signature right now to help keep innocent gray wolves safe from EXTINCTION?]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Thanks for being a voice for gray wolves, Friends of the Earth Contact Us: Friends of the Earth U.S. Washington, D.C. | Berkeley, CA 1-877-843-8687 [Contact us](foe.org/about-us/contact/) Email Preferences: [Click here to unsubscribe]( Learn more: www.foe.org/news www.foe.org/about-us www.foeaction.org Connect: [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [Flickr]( © 2021, Friends of the Earth.
