URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Protect people and the planet from polluting projects! [Sign the petition to REVERSE Trump’s rollback on bedrock environmental protections>>]( Friend, can you imagine fossil fuel sites in your backyard, smokestacks close to your children’s school and playground, and toxic waste being disposed in nearby public water sources? Thankfully, you may be protected from the overwhelming damage caused by Big Oil and Gas and their selfish decisions, but for others this is a scary reality. Without the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the location of polluting projects is left to be decided by greedy corporations who will not think twice about the communities they occupy and impact. NEPA has historically stood as a critical tool in addressing climate concerns through community feedback, equitable solutions, and corporate regulation. But in 2020, critical protections in this law were REMOVED, leaving communities and residents unprotected from Big Polluters’ dirty deals. Right now, President Biden is modifying NEPA rules which means YOU can speak up for the future of our planet. [Can we count on your voice, Friend? Sign the petition to tell President Biden to restore bedrock environmental protections that could SAVE people and the planet>>]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( The consequences from the fossil fuel industry do not only cause irreversible damage to the planet, but also to human health. Communities near fossil fuel projects, more often Black, Brown, Indigenous, and low-income neighborhoods, are subjected to consuming contaminated water, inhaling toxins and fumes, and suffer from blistering headaches. Severe health conditions linked to pollutants can range from asthma to CANCER. President Biden can restore this law and protect people’s health and the planet. [Strengthening NEPA could mean creating a clean, just, and sustainable future. This is possible, but we need your help Friend!
