The Arctic region is warming FOUR TIMES AS FAST as the rest of the planet, and corporate-driven climate change is pushing the last remaining polar bears to STARVATION. The scarce sea ice they rely on to hunt food, raise their cubs and make their dens is melting away rapidly. This is leaving small polar bear cubs stranded on tiny ice patches, floating away from their mamas and out to sea with no food in sight, leaving them to starve alone. But it gets worse: Drilling and fracking companies are buying access to our public lands so they can push deeper into fragile wildlife habitats and the land and water that Indigenous communities rely on. They are poisoning water sources and driving away fish while nearby residents also suffer from noise pollution and toxic greenhouse emissions from industrial-sized drilling machines. At this rate, Big Oil and Gas could DESTROY critical ecosystems, and the Department of the Interior isn’t doing enough to stop them. If we stay on this terrible track, fossil fuel companies will ACCELERATE the deadly destruction of Arctic habitats. We need to take a stand for fragile wildlife, local communities and our planet by taking action NOW – and we need to know where you stand.
