[US Department of Labor] [US Department of Labor - Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs] Celebrating the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Today we celebrate the 33rd anniversary of the [Americans with Disabilities Act]( (ADA). The ADA prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the people.
