This has been a challenging week in the Clousehold. In case you missed it, I experienced my first back injury that left me on bed rest for most of the week. And my recovery coincided with our dog Ted's recovery from getting neutered! So, it was tough for all of us – but it specially put a lot of pressure on Mallory. As painful, frustrating, and embarrassing as it was, I felt a lot of gratitude. Gratitude for being self-employed, for choosing an insurance provider with telemedicine services, for my wife also working from home... And it also reminded me that there are a lot of aspects of my business that are still very dependent on ME. A big priority this year is to further turn Creator Science [into a machine](), but this experience really highlights why it is so important. Take care of yourself! Do your stretches. Get some exercise. And now onto our regularly scheduled business advice. This week, I'm talking about how to improve your conversion rates AND I have a poll at the very end of this email I'd love for you to participate in. Big recommend! [Featured Image](=) READ THIS WEEK'S ESSAY You're getting disqualified. This week, we're talking about why you aren't getting higher conversion rates. When I say "conversion rate" I mean the percentage of people who take the action you wanted for them to take. That might be buying a product, it might be subscribing to your newsletter, or it might be deciding to follow you on social media. In most cases, conversion is relatively low. I often hear numbers like 5% conversion on a sales page to be "good." If you're like me, you're probably frustrated that things don't convert at a higher rate. We do all this work to get people to the point of making a decision...but then they decide against taking the action we place in front of them. What gives? Well, I think the answer is pretty simple. [Keep reading (3 min) ↗](=) LAST WORD 👋 Vote for my next growth experiment! This year, I really want to lean into the "science" side of Creator Science and do a lot of Experimenting In Public. To make this even more fun, I want to get YOU involved in selecting experiments so that we do this together. For my first experiment, I want to focus on audience growth. I'm active on a few different platforms: - Email (Creator Science Newsletter) - Audio (Creative Elements audio-only podcast) - Video (Creator Science YouTube channel) - Twitter - LinkedIn Which platform would you like to see me focus on the most next month? Whichever platform wins the poll, I'll focus the majority of next month's content strategy on growing that platform. At the end of the month, I'll share my results of what worked!
